Fall is turning to winter in the river valley, and that means shoulder season at the Edmonton Bike Park. Here's what's open, what's closed, and how you can help look after the park until spring.

The Edmonton Bike Park badge covered in frost and icicles against a dark, snowy night sky. Text: Shoulder season. Flow trails are closed while they're extra sensitive. They may reopen once the snow sets up. The jump park stays fenced and closed until the official opening in spring. Its black jump lines are tarped for winter. Please respect closures and fences.

Flow trails: closed for now

Freeze, thaw, repeat. With conditions changing day to day, the flow trails are closed for now. Right now they're super sensitive. Freshly built trails are especially vulnerable while they continue to settle and establish, and riding them soft or half-frozen does damage that takes a lot of volunteer hours to fix.

Once the snow sets up, the flow trails may reopen for winter riding. We'll let you know here and on our social channels when they do.

Jump park: closed until the official opening in spring

The jump park stays fenced and closed until the official opening in spring, and its two black jump lines are tarped for winter.

Please respect closures and fences

Please respect closures and fences when they're up: they mean the trail isn't available to ride. Thanks for helping protect the trails, and for looking after the park with us.

Want to help get the park to opening day? Keep an eye on our volunteer page.

The Edmonton Bike Park is a project of the Edmonton Mountain Bike Alliance.
