Spring is here, and the site of our future bike park is blooming with high levels of stoke!
Loads of site prep has taken place at Queen Elizabeth Park over the last two weeks. Jesse Soneff, our Construction Management Lead, will show you what we've been up to.
Planning and Design Progress
Exciting developments in design, engineering, and environmental planning are laying the groundwork for Edmonton's bike park.
Cabin, our Jump Park consultant, shared preliminary 3D renders and a design video. We're excited to show you! But we have a few finishing touches to complete before the big reveal.
Preliminary layouts for the pump track have been shared and are under review.
Collaboration with geotechnical and structural engineers is ongoing for feature planning.
The City has been reviewing the environmental impact assessment and guiding site prep.
On-Site Work and Volunteer Efforts

A nearby Cooper's hawk nesting site required careful environmental considerations. A biologist joined to guide safe practices near the nest.
Power-assisted wheelbarrows were assembled to help us move materials uphill more efficiently.

Building Community
After spending one of the warmest days of the year prepping the site, we recognized the need for a volunteer base camp with shade and refreshments.
Future #EDMBikeParkBuild days will be set around the EMBA tent and a volunteer cook station for hot dogs and snacks.
The community vibe on-site prep days is strong. Many of our volunteers bring their children and make it a family event. Everyone is welcome!

Follow the journey as Edmonton’s Bike Park becomes a reality! Share your excitement with us online with the hashtag #EDMBikeParkBuild.
If you’re interested in volunteering, sign up as a member of EMBA to get first dibs on volunteering opportunities. Joining costs just $20 per year, or get a family membership for only $50.
*Membership is not required to volunteer.
